My Story
I became addicted to a criminal lifestyle that involved money and luxury. Growing up in Columbus, Ohio with three brothers and five sisters was no easy task for my parents. The power and allure of fast money led me to several prison sentences that amounted to twenty years of my life.
As a vow to never enter the game again, I moved to Baltimore, Maryland, knowing that these streets have no mercy. I quickly utilized my teachings from the prison Residential Drug and Alcohol Program (RDAP) / behavioral modification program and became a part of HOPE Baltimore. HOPE Baltimore, a re-entry program for and by formerly incarcerated people, gave me the keys to the city by directing my communication skills toward community health work. My passion and love for people, and my embracement of this city has brought to me to working for the Mayor's Office of Employment and Development and now WE got Jobs On Deck!
